The Artist

Wren Strange (@wrenhammer) is a miniature artist based just outside Seattle, WA. A trained oil painter with a degree in art from the University of Washington, Wren blends her lifelong passion for painting with a love for the Warhammer hobby. Since diving into the world of miniatures in early 2024, she has been exploring how painterly techniques inspired by Romantic and Impressionist era masters can bring Warhammer models to life.

Wren approaches miniature painting as both an art form and an act of creation for its own sake. She’s passionate about the models, the stories they tell, and the joy of sharing her work with the broader community. When she’s not at her painting desk, Wren loves playing TTRPGs, riding her horse, or leading her Flesh-Eater Courts to (occasional) victory in Age of Sigmar battles.
